I love the beauty and simplicity of the icon approach. Very strong
I wonder if the multiple window view may be more effective on a grid.
I really like your icons that youre developing for each category. They all communicate very well, but my only concern is the learning curve for the novice viewer. Should the names of each icon always be showed with the icon?
I think the simplicity of the icons is good, but the representation of the content needs to be further explored.
CNN has so much, the challenge is how to make sure you don't sacrifice the complexity of content to something that looks good, but just isn't realistic.
